An interactive piece installed for the Anti-Model Minority Show,  my curatorial debut at Agitator Gallery. As the piece grew over time it created a sense of solidarity while simultaneously educating people who were unaware of these experiences.

The qipao is a traditional garment that was designed to highlight the figure without being revealing.

The curator invites you to write down stereotypes you have encountered in your lifetime, eventually creating a physical representation of misrepresentation in our society. At the end of the show each statement will be cut out by hand, obscuring the words but revealing the impact they have on our lives.
